NSP Outdoor Emergency Care

Registering for the course

To register you in the course as an NSP Candidate, I need three things:

1. An e-mail or note from your patrol director or another patrol officer saying that:
    a) You have been at least provisionally accepted as a candidate in the patrol;
    b) The patrol makes a commitment to help with your OEC training during the course by providing you with a mentor, who will also help evaluate scenarios.

2.  Enrollment in our CPR class OR a photocopy of your current CPR card, which must be American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer or the equivalent, including adult, child, infant, and 2-rescuer CPR as well as use of pocket mask and BVM. Course completion date must be April 30, 2000 or later, so that your certification will be valid through the end of the 2000/2001 patrol season. The NSP does not recognize 2-year CPR certification periods.

3. Your check for the basic course fee plus any additional fees that may apply. For details, see OEC course fees.
Checks should be made out to the Pinecrest Nordic Ski Patrol.

Your application must have the following information:

A complete application with all the above information and documentation, and your check, will reserve your place in the course. If the course is full, I will notify you and put you on the waiting list, if you wish.

Not joining ski patrol?
If you want to take the course without joining the NSP, e-mail me your name (with a phone number and e-mail or postal address), and I will put you on the waiting list. If we still have space on July 1 for non-NSP students, I will notify people on the waiting list in the order that they reserved places, and give them a chance to register.

Mail your application and check (made out "Pinecrest Nordic Ski Patrol") to:
